Kosamattam Finance NCD March 2022 description – Kosamattam Finance is a systemically important non-deposit taking NBFC primarily engaged in the Gold Loan business, lending money against the pledge of household jewellery (Gold Loans) in the state of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Telangana along with the Union Territory of Puducherry. The company’s gold loan portfolio for the six-month period ending 30 September 2021 comprised of 7,38,620 gold loan accounts, aggregating to INR3,11,682.07 lakhs.
As on 31 January 2022, it had a network of 990 branches and employed 3,338 persons in its business operations. Its Gold Loan customers are typically businessmen, vendors, traders, farmers, salaried individuals and families, who for reasons of convenience, accessibility or necessity, avail of credit facilities by pledging their gold jewellery.
