Capital Trust (CTL) is a publicly listed Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) focused on advancing financial inclusion in rural India through innovative, income-generating business loans. As of 31 March 2023, the company reported an Asset Under Management (AUM) of INR 280 crore, serving over 1,06,000 customers across 11 states in North and East India. CTL specializes in lending to underserved Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in tier 3-5 towns, merging fintech efficiencies with a robust on-ground presence of over 2,000 field staff.

The company’s flagship product, Capital Business Loan (CBL), launched in FY 2019, offers short-tenure, digitally disbursed business loans tailored for informal rural businesses. To date, CTL has disbursed INR 886 crore under the CBL product, maintaining an outstanding loan book of INR 280 crores. CBL has seen 3–4 complete lending cycles, demonstrating resilience even during high-impact market conditions. With a focus on digital adoption, most repayments are processed via NACH, with field staff facilitating cash collections where needed.

As of 31 December 2024, the company employs 2,428 people, driving its mission of inclusive rural financial empowerment.
