NMexus™, a New Mexico-based non-profit Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), one of India’s top engineering and scientific institutions.
The NMexus and IIT Kanpur partnership marks a major milestone in U.S.-India scientific diplomacy, setting the stage for deep bilateral cooperation in clean and sustainable energy, artificial intelligence (AI), aerospace, cybersecurity, robotics, quantum computing, and advanced manufacturing. IIT Kanpur and NMexus MoU: Details

The initiative was launched by New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham at the SelectUSA Investment Summit in May 2025, signifying high-level government endorsement and policy support for foreign direct investment (FDI) and tech-led development.
