Sterlite Electric Unlisted Share Price

Sterlite Electric Share Price Description – Incorporated in 2015, Sterlite Electric (formerly Sterlite Power Transmission) is a leading private-sector power transmission infrastructure developer and solutions provider, operating in India and Brazil. The company is the largest private player when it comes to project portfolios under the interstate Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding route. That’s a 25% market share of transmission projects awarded through that route.

The company is a global leader in manufacturing power cables, conductors and Optical Ground Wire (OPGW)—the last of which is a pretty crucial component in power transmission. Sterlite Electric supplies major utilities across India and exports to over 70 countries from its four advanced manufacturing facilities in Silvassa, Jharsuguda, and Haridwar. Those facilities are the backbone of its high-quality production and innovation in power transmission solutions. Sterlite Electric operates through two primary business units to develop integrated power transmission infrastructure and solutions: Global Infrastructure and Global Products & Services.

  • Global Products & Services is responsible for providing essential components, such as cables and conductors that facilitate the movement of electricity, ensuring that the infrastructure meets modern energy demands.
  • Global Infrastructure focuses on the development, ownership, and operation of power transmission assets across India and Brazil, enhancing energy delivery efficiency.
Sterlite Electric Share Price

In the last fiscal year, Sterlite Electric made significant strides in India and Brazil. That’s where the company cemented its position as a major player in the power transmission sector. Its portfolio now includes 33 projects and 16,529 circuit kilometers of transmission lines. That’s a big deal. Of those, 20 projects in India cover 11,495 circuit kilometers. That’s backed by a capital expenditure of around INR 26,724 crore. The aim is to enhance grid reliability and integrate more renewable energy. At the same time, in Brazil, where Sterlite Electric has been operating for six years now, the company has developed 13 transmission projects stretching 5,034 kilometers. Total investments there come to around INR 11,182 crore.

Sterlite Electric is also the sponsor of IndiGrid, India’s first power sector Infrastructure Investment Trust-listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange. The company had plans to raise INR 1,250 crore through an IPO. But those plans have been put on hold due to current market volatility. That IPO would have been a big deal. There was also a possibility of a pre-IPO placement of up to INR 220 crore. Sterlite Electric is a power transmission infrastructure developer in India and Brazil.
