The order is for a 20 MW green hydrogen plant to be set up at Kalol and Kutch in Gujarat, a state emerging as a green energy hub. The project will be implemented on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis and will be completed in 12 to 15 months, as per company sources.

Under the agreement:

  • Greenzo Energy will supply indigenously developed electrolysers and BoP equipment.
  • The company will also take care of EPC.
  • BoP systems will include compressors, control systems, cooling units, etc.

Strategic Significance

This INR 320 crore order adds to Greenzo Energy’s order book of INR 1,800 crore and is a big deal for India’s hydrogen ecosystem. The project is a step towards India’s shift towards sustainable and indigenous technology solutions to reduce import dependence in clean energy.

“This is more than an order – it’s a step towards India’s clean energy future,” said Ratan Bokadia, MD, Oswal Energy. “By partnering with Greenzo, we are investing in sustainable, home-grown technology that will power industries and make us a self-reliant country.”

Echoing the same, Sandeep Agarwal, MD, Greenzo Energy said:

“This partnership is about creating scalable, efficient hydrogen infrastructure aligned to India’s net-zero target. With Oswal’s global EPC experience and Greenzo’s next-gen hydrogen technology, we will deliver a benchmark project.”
