Servotech's Solar Project from REMCL

Servotech Renewable Power System has secured an INR 16.31 crore grid‑connected solar project from Railway Energy Management Company (REMCL), a joint venture of RITES and the Ministry of Railways. Servotech’s solar project from REMCL spans ground and rooftop installations at the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) complex in Noida.

The company said the turnkey contract includes design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of multiple‑capacity solar power plants at the DFCCIL site. A comprehensive operations and maintenance commitment for 10 years is part of the award, Servotech noted in the statement.

Servotech’s DFCCIL project strengthens its presence in India’s railway and logistics infrastructure ecosystem, where it has been building capabilities in clean‑energy solutions. Integrating solar into high‑throughput logistics facilities is expected to support energy‑cost optimisation and reduce dependence on conventional power, the company stated.

This order highlights Servotech’s engineering strength, execution capability, and consistent reliability in delivering solar solutions for large‑scale infrastructure,” the company said, citing the contract’s end‑to‑end EPC and long‑term O&M coverage. The release did not disclose plant capacities or commissioning timelines.

Commenting on the order, Sarika Bhatia, Whole‑Time Director, said the project aligns with national decarbonisation priorities. “We are proud to work with REMCL on this solar project,” she said, calling it “a major step toward national decarbonisation goals.” The statement described DFCCIL’s freight corridors as critical logistics infrastructure where on‑site renewable integration can drive measurable sustainability gains.

REMCL’s mandate is to facilitate renewable energy adoption across Indian Railways’ network, and DFCCIL operates dedicated freight corridors under the railway ministry’s purview, Servotech explained. By tapping on‑grid solar at operational complexes, the project aims to contribute to India’s clean and sustainable industrial growth mission, the company emphasised in the release.

Servotech Renewable said it has broadened its clean‑tech portfolio over the years, including EV charging solutions, while pursuing opportunities in public infrastructure. The company said the latest order further diversifies its EPC pipeline across marquee government‑linked clients.

Looking ahead, Servotech indicated that execution and 10‑year lifecycle support will be central to value delivery under the contract. The company said it remains committed to innovation and quality in solar deployment while deepening partnerships within the railways and logistics ecosystem.
