Capital Infra InvIT IPO Description – Capital Infra Trust (formerly National Infrastructure Trust) is an InvIT sponsored by Gawar Construction (“GCL” or “Sponsor”). Established on 25 September 2023, its primary objective is to carry out activities and make investments in line with the SEBI InvIT Regulations.
The Sponsor is a prominent infrastructure development and construction company in India. It specializes in constructing roads and highway projects across 19 states for various government and semi-government bodies, as well as statutory authorities. Key clients include the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA), and the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).
Since 2008, the Sponsor, Gawar Construction, has executed over 100 road construction projects. As of September 2024, the Sponsor’s portfolio includes 26 road projects under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). This portfolio comprises 11 completed projects, including five acquired assets previously owned by the Sadbhav Infrastructure Project, and 15 under-construction projects.
As of 30 September 2024, the Initial Portfolio Assets of Capital Infra Trust include projects owned, operated, and maintained by the Project SPVs. These assets consist of approximately 682.425 km of constructed and operational roads across seven states in India: Haryana, Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka.
