Pune-based digital entertainment and gaming company JetSynthesys has secured a strategic investment from South Korean gaming giant Krafton, marking a major milestone in the company’s ambitious bid to scale globally and strengthen its leadership in India. The deal, announced on 16 April 2025, also saw participation from NAFA Private Equity and existing investors including Pratithi Investments (the private investment arm of Kris Gopalakrishnan’s family office), Serum Institute of India, and the Jetline Group, owned by the Navani family.

While the financial terms of the investment remain undisclosed, JetSynthesys has confirmed that the infusion will be channelled towards four critical pillars: global expansion, technology development, talent acquisition, and strategic acquisitions. This move aligns with the company’s aggressive 20x revenue growth plan over the next six years, along with an aim to double profit margins from the current 15% to 30%.

From Family Office to Global Platform

Founded in 2014 by Rajan Navani, the company has transitioned from a family office-led enterprise to a company now attracting marquee institutional and strategic investors. “This is a defining moment in JetSynthesys’ journey,” Navani said. “We’re expanding from being a new-age, family office-led company to an India-first global platform—backed by world-class partners like Krafton.”

Navani highlighted that the company has spent nearly a decade laying a robust foundation. With prior investments of approximately INR 100 crore from Indian family offices, including a INR 300 crore (~USD 40 million) injection in 2020, the company is now prepared to scale operations on a global level.

Krafton Deepens Commitment to India

Krafton, best known globally for developing popular gaming titles such as Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), PUBG Studios, and inZOI, has invested over USD 200 million (INR 1,708 crore) in India since 2021 across startups in gaming, e-sports, and digital technology. It has Nodwin Gaming, Cashfree Payments, Loco and One Impression in its Indian portfolio. In March 2025, Krafton acquired majority stake in Nautilus Mobile, a game studio owned by JetSynthesys and the makers of Real Cricket franchise for INR 118 crore, solidifying its presence in India’s gaming ecosystem.

Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of Krafton India said, “JetSynthesys has always been ahead of the curve in creating digital IPs that go global. This investment is in line with our view of India as a global gaming and digital entertainment hub.”

Krafton also plans to set up a research and development facility in India by 2026, indicating a long term vision of localised innovation and content creation out of India.

Strategic Global Expansion

The company plans to replicate its successful India playbook internationally, particularly in markets such as Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), and Southeast Asia. With offices already established in Tokyo, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore, the company is poised to scale its game development, LiveOps, and publishing infrastructure with an emphasis on leveraging Japanese expertise.

The investment will also enable JetSynthesys to deepen its presence in India through organic growth and targeted acquisitions, making it a preferred partner for global media and entertainment firms entering the country.

Diversified Portfolio and IP-Led Innovation

The company has built a multi-faceted portfolio across gaming, esports, wellness, music, and digital content. The company owns and operates over 300 games across Android, iOS, HTML, and Java, and has developed popular titles such as Sachin Saga, Being Salman, and Super Ludo. It co-founded Nodwin Gaming and owns the esports platform Skyesports, acquired in August 2021.

Its creator-led and entertainment ecosystem includes partnerships and platforms such as:

  • Global Music Junction (music distribution)
  • 100MB (a joint venture with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar)
  • Real Sports (sports and esports marketing)
  • KidzByte (educational news and content)
  • Fanory (creator monetisation)
  • Wakau (short-form video)
  • RightLife and ThinkRight (wellness and meditation)
  • JetMetaphy (immersive tech experiences for brands)

The company also launched Jetapult, a venture that supports global mobile game studios, which has been backed by Accel Partners and Fireside Ventures.

Future Outlook

Looking ahead, JetSynthesys plans to monetise the intersection of technology, content, and culture, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, hyper-personalisation, and extended reality (XR) to create immersive experiences. Navani hinted at a potential IPO within the next 18 to 36 months, contingent on business performance and market conditions.

With Krafton’s support and a diversified strategy rooted in IP creation, global partnerships, and technological innovation, JetSynthesys is poised to become a major force in the global digital entertainment landscape—while helping anchor India’s emergence as a global hub for gaming and digital content.
