Manufacturing Push & R&D Ramp-Up

The company plans to deploy the proceeds to expand manufacturing and accelerate product development. A new electronics manufacturing facility is coming up in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with an initial capacity of over one million units annually. The capital will also support testing, compliance and quality programmes aimed at automotive-grade deployments.

Six Sense Mobility builds intelligent electronic systems and connected-vehicle solutions for OEMs, spanning hardware, firmware and software, with in-house manufacturing. It counts Sonalika Tractors and Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles among customers and has deployed 25,000–30,000 devices across India and Europe.

Six Sense Mobility: Order book

Backed by an order book exceeding INR 160 crore, the company is emphasising localisation. “By indigenising critical automotive technologies, we aim to reduce India’s reliance on imports while positioning Six Sense Mobility as a credible, globally competitive alternative,” said Sumit Roy, co-founder and chief executive.

Investor Ashish Kacholia said automotive electronics and software would define the next phase of vehicle innovation, adding that Six Sense’s “vertically integrated platform and production-ready capabilities” position it well for long-term OEM partnerships. Piper Serica’s investment director Ajay Modi noted the firm’s progression “from early pilots to scaled Tier-1 OEM deployments.”

Background & Market Context

Founded in 2022 and incubated at IIT Delhi, Six Sense operates as a Tier-I supplier, designing and manufacturing modules such as telematics control units and body control systems. The firm raised INR 6 crore in August 2024 in a seed round from Piper Serica, and earlier pre-seed capital in 2023.

The company says it is aligning its product roadmap with emerging vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication and other safety technologies, as India’s regulatory focus on road safety and localisation gathers pace. Management indicated it possesses the core technology to design and manufacture V2V-enabled devices at scale in line with global standards. (yourstory.com)
