Ascom Leasing IPO description – Ascom Leasing started its business as NBFC in 2001 with the mission of providing services to economically active poor who are not adequately served by the financial institutions. The company is engaged in the business of finance, hire purchase, leasing and lending terms loans, mortgage financing. Its customers include first-time buyers of vehicles, self-employed and professional or non-professional individuals, small and medium entrepreneurs and customers with informal income and limited banking and credit history.
As of 30 June 2019, the company had more than 2,000 active customers. Ascom Leasing’s operations are concentrated in Gujarat only. Being a Non-Deposit NBFC, the company is not entitled to take deposit from the general public and sources the funds from the promoter investments and bank funding. The company’s products can be classified under two broad categories, namely, mortgage loans and individual loans with the following characteristics:
Loan to Value (LTV) Ratio:
- In Loan against property, the LTV ratio is 50 % as calculated Market Value.
- For Home renovation loan, the LTV ratio is 60-65% as calculated Market Value.
Home Renovation loan:
- Tenure : Max 60 Months
- Interest rate: 18% to 24 % per annum
- Standard fee of INR1,950/- per file along with the stamp duty on registration is payable by the customers.
