Shares of Transrail Lighting rallied nearly 9% in intraday trade on Tuesday, following the company’s latest announcement of securing fresh orders worth INR 1,085 crore in the domestic Transmission & Distribution (T&D) segment. The news was met with strong investor enthusiasm, driving the stock to an intraday high of INR 492.45, marking the sharpest single-day gain since mid-February.

The Mumbai-based engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company stated in an exchange filing dated 14 April that these latest orders represent a strategic win in its core business segment, underscoring its market position and growth trajectory.

“We begin the financial year with this new order in our core T&D segment. This addition reinforces our position in the market and aligns with our strategic focus on continued growth,” said Randeep Narang, Managing Director and CEO of Transrail Lighting, in a media statement.

Transrail Lighting New Orders

A Robust Start to FY26

Transrail Lighting new orders worth INR 1,085 crore, comes on the heels of multiple order announcements in the final quarter of FY25, including:

  • INR 240 crore order on 31 March for an international transmission line construction project.
  • INR 1,647 crore in March across T&D and railway segments.
  • A INR 2,752 crore order on 27 February, cementing its status as a major player in the sector.

Transrail Lighting concluded FY25 with record-high order inflows of INR 9,400 crore, more than double the figure in FY24—a milestone that reflects its growing domestic and international presence.

Market Reaction and Stock Performance

Buoyed by the latest development. The rally brought the company’s market capitalization to INR 6,526 crore, with the stock outperforming broader indices such as the Nifty 50, which rose just 2.09% during the session.

Despite a 10% decline year-to-date, the renewed investor confidence stemming from the fresh order intake could signal a turning point for the stock, especially given the company’s strong execution record and visibility on future revenues.

Transrail’s Strategic Capabilities

Transrail Lighting has carved a niche in the power infrastructure space with four decades of EPC expertise. The company operates across:

  • Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D)
  • Civil Construction
  • Railways
  • Poles & Lighting
  • Solar EPC

Its integrated operations include large-scale manufacturing facilities for Galvanized Lattice Towers, Monopoles, and Overhead Conductors, along with a tower testing facility. The company has a global footprint in 59 countries across five continents and has successfully delivered over 200 projects in its T&D vertical alone.

Strong Financials

Transrail Lighting also demonstrated financial strength in the latest reported quarter. For Q3 FY25, it posted:

  • 91.89% jump in consolidated PAT to INR 93.24 crore
  • 62.13% increase in operational revenue to INR 1,357.56 crore
  • EBITDA growth of 80% to INR 179.8 crore

These robust figures were primarily driven by growth in its core T&D operations, which now appear to be gathering further momentum heading into FY26.

Transrail Lighting Post-IPO Performance

The company’s IPO in December 2024 was a resounding success, receiving 80.8x subscription and listing at INR 585.15, a 35.45% premium over the issue price of INR 432. On debut, it reached highs of INR 604, signaling strong institutional and retail interest from the outset.

Transrail Lighting IPO proceeds—comprising a fresh issue of INR 400 crore and an offer-for-sale of INR 438.91 crore by promoter Ajanma Holdings—have positioned Transrail well to capitalize on infrastructure demand in India and abroad.
