Studds Share Price Description – Studds Accessories Limited, established in 1983 with a legacy of helmet manufacturing since 1972, is the world’s largest two-wheeler helmet manufacturer by volume as of 2024. The company operates two flagship brands—STUDDS, catering to value-driven helmets and accessories, and SMK Helmets, offering premium safety helmets.

In addition to its brands, Studds also manufactures helmets for third parties, including Daytona in the United States and O’Neal in Europe, the US, and Australia. As of FY 2025, the company operates four state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Faridabad, Haryana, India, with a combined annual production capacity of approximately 9.04 million units. These facilities are equipped with advanced robotics, in-house mold-making, and dedicated R&D centers, with a fifth facility under construction to further expand capacity and technological capabilities.

As of FY 2025, Studds sold approximately 7.5 million helmets. The company’s success is driven by its focus on safety, style, design, and quality, earning a loyal customer base. With stricter helmet laws and rising safety awareness in India, Studds is well-positioned to benefit, supported by its strong manufacturing capabilities, wide distribution network, and market leadership in the two-wheeler helmet segment.

Studds Accessories filed its DRHP on 26 March 2025. This follows an earlier attempt in 2018, which was postponed due to unfavorable market conditions.

Market Position and Growth

With an extensive product portfolio including full-face, flip-up, off-road, and sporting helmets, in FY24, Studds Accessories (SAL) held a 27.3% market share by volume and 25.5% by value in the domestic market. As of FY 2025, Studds sold through 348 active distributors in India, and it had a network of 1,067 suppliers (including service suppliers), exporting to over 70 countries across Europe, Asia, America, Australia, and the Middle East. The company supplies helmets and accessories to OEMs like Honda, Hero, Suzuki, Royal Enfield, and Yamaha, as well as to government bodies such as Central Police Canteens and the Canteen Stores Department.

Studds Accessories manufactures a wide range of helmets and motorcycle accessories. Its helmets are marketed under the Studds and SMK brands and cater to different market segments: Studds for the mass commuter and SMK for the premium segment. Besides helmets, Studds also produces two-wheeler lifestyle accessories like luggage, gloves, security guards, rain suits, and eyewear. Additionally, Studds offers bicycle helmets and face shields/masks. The company is innovation and quality-focused, uses high-quality materials, and tests its products rigorously to ensure they meet safety standards and customer expectations.
