Reliance Retail Unlisted Share Price Description – Reliance Retail, one of the most prominent retail players in India, is involved in various sectors, from in-store experiences to online shopping. The company stands out in the Deloitte rankings of 2023. It’s the second-fastest-growing retailer globally and ranks 53rd overall.
The company operates from an extensive network of 17,293 stores with over 73.3 million square feet of retail space spread across more than 7,000 cities in India. Additionally, Reliance Retail has direct-to-customer delivery capabilities in over 19,500 pin codes. The company caters to millions of customers each year and boasts one of the largest and fastest-growing customer bases, with a remarkable 979 million loyal customers shopping both in-store and online as of March 31, 2023.
What sets Reliance Retail apart is its own-brand products. Those range from food and FMCG to fashion and consumer electronics—and the company’s done a great job of crafting products that compete with big-name brands on both quality and affordability. That’s because they tap into customer insights, market knowledge, and their vast retail reach.

That’s just the beginning. Reliance Retail has its fingers in all sorts of retail pies: neighborhood stores and supermarkets, wholesale cash & carry stores, and online shops. That means people across all segments can access all types of products and services.
Reliance Retail IPO has been pushed back beyond 2025 due to some internal operational challenges. Meanwhile, Mukesh Ambani’s telecom arm, Reliance Jio, is gearing up to launch its IPO. That’s expected to value the company at over USD 100 billion (around INR 8.52 lakh crore) in the second half of 2025.
