Key Highlights
- The company has posted an intelligent clean-up in bad loans in FY 2024. Stage 3 loans, defined as loans where recovery is due beyond 90 days, were capped at 1.90% of gross loans at the end of FY 2024. This is down substantially from 2.73% as of 31 March 2023.
- The Reserve Bank India (RBI) categorized 16 big NBFCs as upper-layer NBFCs. Companies in the list, which includes HDB Financial Services as well, will be subject to an enhanced regulatory framework. In October 2021, the central bank put in place a four-layered regulatory structure for NBFCs to minimize risks for the overall financial system.
- The net profit of HDB Financial Services rose 25.59% to INR 2,460.84 crore in FY 2024 as against INR 1,959.35 crore in FY 2023.
- Sales rose 10.42% to INR 3,220.20 crore in the quarter ended March 2023 as against INR 2,916.40 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2022.

HDB Financial Services Unlisted Share – Recent Price Movement
HDBFS was trading at a high of INR 1,200 per share before COVID-19 but corrected a lot after the pandemic. In recent years, the stock price remained under pressure due to the merger between HDFC Bank and HDFC. Despite the previous events, the price has made a 52-week high of INR 1550 per share as of October 2024.
