Axles India Unlisted Share Price Description – Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Axles India Limited was established in 1981. It is a joint venture of Wheels India, Sundaram Finance, and Dana Holding Corporation, USA. For the whole line of medium and heavy commercial vehicles, Axles India can provide axle housings.
The company operates two factories—one in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, and the other in Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, Tamil Nadu. The company has a production capacity of 2,80,000 axle housings annually. In 1995, a new axle housing unit was established in Cheyyar to meet the growing demands of OEMs.
In 2003, the company established a new plant for manufacturing Drive Head assemblies. To cater to the export market, it set up an export-oriented department in 2006. In 2011, the Drive Head business was sold to Dana India.
Axles India manufactures a wide range of products, including Rear Axle Housings, Tag Axle Housings, Drive Axle Housings, Trailer Axle Beams, and Hub Reduction Axle Housings for medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
Its customer base includes leading manufacturers such as Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, VE Commercial Vehicles, Dana India, SML Isuzu, Mahindra Trucks and Buses, and Daimler India Commercial Vehicles. In addition, Volvo Trucks Asia and Dana, USA, source products from Axles India for their global operations.

Key Highlights – FY 2024 – 25
- In FY25, domestic sales of axle housings reached 2,15,000 units. Exports were slightly lower than the previous year. Due to the slowdown in demand for haulage trucks in the USA, the company will soon begin exporting housings to Brazil for use in long-distance haulage trucks.
- In FY 2025, revenue slipped slightly to INR 841.54 Cr, a 1.45% decline from the prior year. Despite expenses increasing to INR 753.63 Cr, the company earned INR 68.70 Cr in net income, with margins softening to 8.16%.
